Adam Moulson steps in as interim CEO at Griffin
Chief Commercial Officer Adam Moulson will act as interim CEO while current CEO and co-founder David Jarvis is on parental leave.
Griffin, the UK-based Banking as a Service firm, has appointed Chief Commercial Officer Adam Moulson to the role of interim CEO, while current CEO and co-founder David Jarvis is on parental leave.
"The Board has every faith in Adam's ability to lead the firm as it continues to grow and pursue its strategic goals," said the Chair of the Board, John Weguelin. "It is a testament to the strength of Griffin's executive team that we're able to support David in taking the next few months to focus on his upcoming fatherhood, and we look forward to welcoming him back later this year."
Griffin offers all of its permanent staff members three months of fully paid parental leave, rising to six months for employees who have been with the company for over two years.
"We see having strong support for parental leave as table stakes," said Naomi Trickey, board member and Chair of Griffin's People and Governance Committee. "Long gone are the days in which people would be expected to have a child and report straight back to work."
Moulson has been with Griffin since January 2021. Prior to that, he was the Chief Customer Officer at Form3, the leading gateway for cloud-based payments. His experience in helping Form3 achieve its current scale is an excellent fit for Griffin.
"I'm honoured by the confidence and trust that the Board and David have placed in me," said Moulson. "Griffin's culture and vision are inspirational and I'll be working closely with the team to ensure that we continue to live up to those."
David Jarvis and Allen Rohner co-founded Griffin in 2017, with the mission of becoming a technology-first bank designed to help fintechs and innovative companies quickly launch and scale financial products. The company recently submitted its application for a UK banking license, a major step in its journey to becoming the bank that fintechs can build on.
"David and I have huge confidence not just in the calibre of our leadership team, but everyone who works at Griffin," said Griffin CTO and co-founder Allen Rohner. "We're in a period where we're hitting a lot of big milestones, and I have no doubt that we're going to continue hitting them with Adam steering the ship."
